Angelique is an amazing game series aimed at girls released by Koei of Japan, which has been growing in popularity since its SNES debut in 1994. It's about time it recieved the attention it deserves in the English-speaking world.

the story: Angelique is a young girl who has been selected as one of two candidates to become the Queen of the Cosmos. To prove her worthiness to be queen, she, through the assistance of the Guardians, must guide a continent to prosperity. Her rival, Rosalia, has been given the same task, and can prove a terrible obstacle in Angelique's quest to become Queen. Not only that, but Angelique may find the Guardians themselves to be quite a distraction...

This is the basic premise of the first game. As of this date, there have actually been seven different Angelique games released in the series (Angelique (and Special 1), Fushigi no Kuni no Angelique, Angelique Special 2, Angelique Duet, Angelique: Tenkuu no Requiem, Angelique Trois (for Playstation 2), and Sweet Ange (a Game Boy Color game)), as well as a huge amount of related merchandise.

There is a re-release for the original game on Game Boy Advance... and Angelique fans feel that this can become the starting point for Angelique in America. It is the optimum subject because a) it requires no knowledge of the previous games (as many of the other games tend to require...), b) there is little voice (as can be left undubbed), making the process much faster and less messy (as many of the fans do *not* want the games to have dubbed voice), and c) it is for a newer, popular system, which does not have as much software as of yet, meaning it will recieve more notice simply because of that fact.

Let's keep going!
